HUNTERSVILLE – Police are offering a reward for information about who made two bomb threats that were written inside separate bathrooms at Lake Norman Charter School last month.

The threats – found after school on Nov. 10 and Nov. 14 – said a bomb in the school would detonate sometime in the near future. Police scoured the school and deemed the threats not credible but after school events and athletic practices were canceled, a letter from school officials to parents said. At least one of the threats was written on a roll of toilet paper, police have said.

Police are asking anyone with information in these threats to contact Detective R.E. Rojas at 704-464-5346. The department with North Mecklenburg Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information in the case leading to an arrest. Call North Mecklenburg Crime Stoppers at 704-766-2525. Calls to Crime Stoppers can be made anonymously.
