Lake Norman Charter collects items for women’s shelter

Sixth-grade students from Lake Norman Charter School held a baby supply charity drive Nov. 8-22 for the Women’s Homeless Shelter of Charlotte. Students donated diapers, formula, baby wipes, baby food and clothes to help out mothers living at the shelter and money to help the shelter’s Health Services meet their clinic needs.
Students donated 56 boxes of diapers, 15 bottles of baby formula, 51 baby wipes, 29 baby food items, 54 articles of clothing, 14 other baby items and $125.
