The church’s Faith & Families Group will continue the Angel Tree project through Wednesday, Dec. 14. Participants can sponsor families in need in the community. Specific instructions are posted on the bulletin board next to the church office. For more information, contact Stephanie Rollans at 704-892-5641, ext. 12.
The White Gift Christmas Pageant is Sunday, Dec. 11 at 5 p.m. in the sanctuary. For the annual pageant, high school students enact the story of Christ’s birth. The children’s choir will sing carols. The church asks attendees to bring a non-perishable food donation for the Loaves & Fishes food pantry at Ada Jenkins. A soup and sandwich supper will follow the service in the Congregation House. The church asks for a monetary donation to cover the cost of the supper.
The Christmas dinner feast will be served at 5:45 p.m. in the Congregation House Wednesday, Dec. 14. Cider-glazed roast pork loin, roasted potatoes and vegetables are on the menu. The dinner costs $8 for adults and $4 for children. Following the meal, the congregation will go caroling for home-bound church members, residents of the Pines and Crown Colony. Sign up for the dinner at www.dcpc.org.
