CHARLOTTE – Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools hosts a district-wide Magnet Fair on Jan. 7 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Phillip O. Berry Technology, 1430 Alleghany St., Charlotte.

Representatives from the district’s magnet programs will be available to answer questions, as well as staff from the English as a second language department, career and technical education, study abroad programs, Parent University and the student assignment department.

School health workers will be on hand to answer questions about required physical examinations and immunizations. Computers also will be available so families can complete the online student-assignment forms if they would like to participate in the lottery.
