Huntersville Mayor Jill Swain visited Lake Norman Charter High School Wednesday, Dec. 14, to talk to 10-graders about public service.

Swain described how she made the transition from a career in the advertising industry to town government and ways students can enter the public service field in the future.

“Let your heart guide you into public service,” Swain told students. “If your heart guides you into public service, then you’re going into it for the right reasons.”
