HUNTERSVILLE – Girls on the Run, a nonprofit that financially assists girls in Mecklenburg and Cabarrus counties, will host its first annual winter New Balance Girls on the Run 5K on Saturday, Dec 3.

The race will take place at the Huntersville Business Park, 13801 Reese Blvd. W. Festivities begin at 8 a.m., with the race following at 9.

The noncompetitive event serves as the culmination of the 10-week Girls on the Run program for girls in third through eighth grades.
