DAVIDSON – The Michael Scott Mater Foundation and the Davidson-based Project for Innovation, Energy and Sustainability have formed a partnership to promote small business development using eco-friendly practices. Under this agreement, the foundation and PiES will collaborate on two programs to support small business: the foundation’s Green Micro Loan Program and PiES Business Incubation Client Services Program.

PiES and the Michael Scott Mater Foundation will work together on other joint education programs that promote growth to one another’s programs and services.

“This community based initiative is a successful pilot project bringing together two organizations which will provide a model and much needed funding for innovations at the local level in the green jobs sector,” according to Ian Ferguson, PiES co-founder and advisory board chair.
