CONCORD – The N.C. Department of Health and Human Services recently recognized Cannon School for its diversity employment practices.
“You demonstrate an understanding of the value of working with people with disabilities,” said Jean E. Foster, business relations representative for the department’s Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services in Cabarrus, Iredell and Rowan counties. “Your employment practices better our community because, together, we are helping, in some manner, one more person to work whose abilities, otherwise, might have been disregarded.”
The department’s Vocational Rehabilitation Services division promotes employment and independence for people with disabilities through customer partnerships and community leadership.
