Davidson College Presbyterian Church will show two films the first three Fridays in November. Adults and teenagers will screen films in the Congregation House, and elementary children will watch films in the Movie Theatre, room 212.
On Nov. 4, adults and teens will watch the comedy “Henry Poole is Here,” which follows a man’s misadventures after learning that he only has six weeks to live. Children will watch “Barnyard,” featuring a boisterous bovine named Otis, who lives on a farm. On Nov. 11, adults and teens will watch “Temple Grandin.” In this film, a young woman’s passion for animals helps her cope with her autism. That night children will watch “Chicken Run,” the claymation comedy following a chicken flock’s escape attempts from a British farm. On Nov. 18, adults and teens will watch “Soul Surfer,” the true story of a champion teen surfer who lost and arm in a shark attack. That night children will watch “Up,” the animated Pixar film of a 78-year-old man’s adventures in his flying home. For more information, contact the church at 704-892-5641.
