HUNTERSVILLE – Visit Lake Norman and Huntersville’s Park and Recreation Department will host the Triple 8 Sports Holiday Football Festival and All-Star Weekend Thursday through Sunday, Nov. 24 to 27, at Richard Barry Park, 13707 Beatties Ford Road.

The four-day, youth-football event and cheerleading competition is expected to generate $972,840 in direct visitor spending to the area, according to Visit Lake Norman.

More than 60 youth teams, with players 5 to 16 years old, have registered for the events. Teams will travel from Alabama, Florida, New York, the Carolinas, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington and Canada to compete in the festival.
