TROUTMAN – Members of the Blue Ridge Mushroom Club will lead a free fungi foray on Saturday, Nov. 19, at Lake Norman State Park, 159 Inland Sea Lane.

The public is welcome, but organizers ask visitors to bring a covered dish to share for lunch.

The club will meet at the park’s Community Building at 10 a.m. and divide into search groups. The groups will collect mushrooms until 1 p.m., eat lunch and  try to identify the fungi found during the day.
