LAKE NORMAN – The Community Blood Center of the Carolinas will hold a number of blood drives in the north Mecklenburg area this month. Those dates are:

• Sunday, Nov. 13, at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, 301 Caldwell Lane, Davidson.  from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

• Monday, Nov. 14, at Central Piedmont Community College’s north campus, 11930 Verhoeff Drive, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

• Nov. 17 at Regal Theaters Birkdale 16, 16950 Birkdale Commons Pkwy., 5 to 10 p.m.

• Nov. 21 at the Lake Norman YMCA, 21300 Davidson St., Cornelius, 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.

• Nov. 27 at Regal Theaters Birkdale 16, 16950 Birkdale Commons Pkwy., 2 to 6 p.m. Free movie tickets will be given to donors at this event.
