CHARLOTTE – Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools is partnering with Central Piedmont Community College for a free middle school science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fair.

The Nov. 19 event, for students and their parents, is designed to increase STEM awareness and introduce students to careers available in the science, technology, engineering and mathematics fields. Staff from Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools will be on hand to speak to students and parents about specific courses students should take to prepare themselves.

Following the program, students will have the opportunity to speak with representatives from leading companies and local colleges.
