DAVIDSON – Eighteen seventh-graders at Woodlawn School have qualified for the Duke University Talent Identification Program (Duke Tip).

The 16-state program recognizes high-achieving seventh-grade students. To qualify, students must score in the top fifth percentile on a national standardized test or have scored at or above 125 on an Intelligence Quotient test. These students are invited to participate in the program and take either the Standard Aptitude Test or the ACT.

The following Woodlawn seventh-graders qualified:

• Cornelius: Felix Lopez and Erica Rose

• Davidson: Elliott Anderson, Charlotte Berl, Ava Bruffey, John Bubak, Julia Desmond, Ansley Earle, Jake Johnson, Callie Martin, Julian Ramirez, Halynna Snyder, Merritt Strodel, Carolina Surratt and Amelia Woodall

• Huntersville: Kelsie Milburn and Quinn Schneider

• Mooresville: Matt Childers.
