CORNELIUS – The Cornelius Town Board unanimously approved developer Jake Palillo to make changes to the Bailey’s Glen multi-family complex on the west side of the existing Bailey’s Glen retirement community on Monday, Oct. 3.
Without changing the number of units, the developer will scale down to three, rather than four residential buildings, according to documents supplied to the town. In another significant change, the developer wants to switch from underground parking approved in the original plan to surface parking lots.
“We had a good meeting with Jake and he was willing to hear my concerns,” Commissioner Chuck Travis said. “As Jake will tell you, he has addressed a majority of them.”
Travis said that Palillo moved the dumpster in the complex to the other side of the property, improved the complex’s trail system and made significant parking changes in the complex plans.
