Carolina Renaissance Festival returns to Lake Norman

The fair is open from 10 a.m. until 5:30 p.m., rain or shine.
The 22-acre Renaissance Festival village is set on 245 acres off Poplar Tent Road.
At the festival, visitors will see artists, crafters, musicians, performance troupes and food vendors.
Entertainment includes period music, jousting matches, sword fights and magic shows. There will also be food and an array of live musical performances – many of which are accompanied by ethnic dance influenced by Ireland, Scotland, India, Africa and the Middle East.
Advance discount tickets can be purchased at Harris Teeter stores region-wide. Tickets costs $19 for adults, and $9 for children ages; Children younger than 5 are free.
