CORNELIUS – The town will officially dedicate the Veterans Monument on Veterans Day following a celebration.

At 11 a.m. on Nov. 11, the town and American Legion Post 86 will honor servicemen and women with a ceremony featuring comments from Mayor Jeff Tarte and keynote speaker N.C. Speaker of the House Thom Tillis, a Cornelius resident. Along with their speeches there will be a 21-gun salute and patriotic songs sung by the Cornelius Interfait and Hough High School choirs.
