HUNTERSVILLE – Through Dec. 31, the American Red Cross and Sonny’s Real Pit Bar-B-Q are teaming up for “Giving Blood is a Big Deal” promotion through the end of the year. All donors who give blood and platelets at the Charlotte or Huntersville Donor Centers will receive a coupon for a free Big Deal Combo at Sonny’s Bar-B-Q.

The Big Deal Combo includes a sandwich served on garlic bread or a toasted roll with your choice of French Fries or Bar-B-Q Beans and a Sonny’s signature sweet tea or soft drink.

Donors can take part at the Park Road Donor Center, at 2425 Park Road in Charlotte Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2 to 7 p.m.; Wednesdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.; Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Participants can also donate at the Huntersville Donor Center at 9800 Kincey Ave. on Mondays from 2:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.; Tuesday, Nov. 15 from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.; Wednesday, Nov. 30, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.; and Fridays and Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
