Four men were arrested last week after they attempted to rob undercover officers, the Huntersville police said.
The officers met the men in the parking lot of Cook-Out, 428 Huntersville Gateway Blvd., around 3 p.m. Oct. 20, police said. After selling marijuana to the officers, the men pulled a weapon and attempted to rob the undercover police.
Several other Huntersville narcotics investigators positioned near the drug deal rushed to the aid of the undercover cops and quickly arrested the men, police said.
Police arrested Tahj Kierre Wilson, 22, Garnett Taylor Robinson, 22, Jerry Edward Berry, 20, and El-Tamon Maurice Greene, 23.
The men were charged with two felony counts of armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, possession of marijuana and sale and delivery of marijuana, police said.
The men were being held in the Mecklenburg County Jail.
