Community in Christ Lutheran Preschool in Cornelius celebrated the life of Saint Francis of Assisi by having a Blessing of Pets ceremony last week.
Associate Pastor Travis Norton performed the ceremony in which he blessed the preschool children and their pets. Among the animals blessed this year were many dogs and cats, the class hamster and frogs, an Eastern box turtle, a hedgehog, a guinea pig and a chicken.

The preschool children brought in donations for the Cornelius Animal Shelter as well.
