CHARLOTTE – Carolinas Medical Center has been named the region’s “Most Preferred Hospital” by the National Research Corporation for the 14th time. This Consumer Choice Award is given to the hospital that health care consumers have identified as having the most outstanding quality and image within their metropolitan service areas.

Carolinas Medical Center was one of only 291 facilities chosen as a winner in the top 300 markets across the country. It also has been the only hospital in the Charlotte region to receive this designation for four consecutive years.

“It is exciting for CMC to be selected as the top hospital in the region year after year and for its physicians and employees to be recognized for their hard work and dedication to quality and patient care,” said Suzanne Freeman, President of Carolinas Medical Center. “This award truly reflects Carolinas HealthCare System’s teamwork approach and philosophy of uncompromising excellence and commitment to care.”
