CHARLOTTE – On Thursday, Oct. 27 from 1 to 2 p.m., 300 Wells Fargo team members will participate in Walk in Her Shoes, an event to raise awareness for sexual assault and Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Men taking part will walk in high heels and female colleagues will sport ties as part of Ties for Victims during their march around the Wells Fargo Customer Information Center campus at 1525 West W.T. Harris Blvd.  They will take this stand  against domestic violence and sexual assault, and raise funds for United Family Services, a not-for-profit, family service organization based in Charlotte.

There will also be a message from organizer and sexual assault survivor Wendy Allen of Wells Fargo, who serves as a voice for domestic violence and sexual assault victims.

In 2009, she organized a forum to “speak out” against domestic violence and sexual assault. The response was overwhelming.

There will also be a moment of silence and a massive balloon launch in tribute to those who have survived domestic violence and sexual abuse.
