HUNTERSVILLE – Officers have charged David William Hamilton with the deaths of his parents, Huntersville police said this week.

Hamilton, 25, who was arrested in Myrtle Beach, S.C., earlier this month on probation violations, was wanted for questioning in the deaths of James and Stephanie Hamilton in their 13115 Centennial Commons Drive home, police said.

David Hamilton was extradited back to the area and charged with three counts of probation violation and two counts of first-degree murder, the Mecklenburg County jail log said. He is being held in the Mecklenburg County Jail and denied bail, the log said.
