DAVIDSON – McKinney Academy, 412 Armour St., features another presentation in its Wellness Lecture Series, titled “The Biomedical and Educational Approach to Reading and Learning Success,” Thursday, Oct. 20, at 6:30 p.m at the school.

Three panel experts, pediatrician Chris Magryta, optometrist Philip Bugaiski and educator Jessica Mize-Wilson will offer their knowledge as it relates to reading and learning success. Audience members will learn about topics that affect children’s concentration and learning, such as nutrition, vision, vitamin deficiency, sleep disorders, allergies and attention deficit hyperactive disorder.

Parents also will take away reading tools and tips from an educator’s perspective. An open question and answer session follows expert discussions. The event is free and open to the public.
