HUNTERSVILLE – The senior class of Lake Norman Charter School will hold its second annual Hoops for Hope Basketball Tournament to benefit St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

Proceeds from the tournament, Nov. 4 at 7:30 p.m. in the high school gym, go to support families with children suffering from life-threatening diseases at St. Jude’s. Because the hospital, based in Memphis, Tenn., accepts patients despite their ability to pay for medical care, many patients’ families experience great financial stress.

Spectators will be charged $5, and there will be a raffle and concession sales. Tax-deductible donations may be sent to Lake Norman Charter School, c/o Lucy Smith or Kelly Reilly, 12701 Old Statesville Road, Huntersville. Checks should be made out to Lake Norman Charter School. The event is open to the public.
