DAVIDSON – The Business Center @ South Main Square was recognized by the federal Environmental Protection Agency with an ENERGY STAR award. The award signifies that the building performs in the top 25 percent nationwide for energy efficiency.


Members of the Project for innovation, Energy and Sustainability advisory board accepted the award for the center.


Commercial buildings that earn the ENERGY STAR use an average of 35 percent less energy and release 35 percent less carbon dioxide, according to a news release about the award.
