CHARLOTTE – Charlotte Mayor Anthony Foxx was named as chairman for the Metropolitan Transportation Commission, legislative arm for the Charlotte Area Transit System. Davidson Mayor John Woods was re-elected to serve as vice chairman.
The commission voted on the appointments during the Dec. 15 meeting.
Foxx was unanimously voted to replace Mecklenburg County Commissioner Jennifer Roberts.
