Torrence Creek Kindergartners in Jill Thomas’ class recite poetry and sing songs for their parents Monday, Nov. 22, before enjoying a Thanksgiving feast.

Leading up to the celebration, students discussed Thanksgiving traditions “then and now,” Thomas said, and learned about the ways the tradition has changed since the first Thanksgiving.

They kicked off the day’s celebration with a pow wow in the hallway, and then returned to their individual classrooms with their families to eat.
