HUNTERSVILLE – N.C. Commissioner of Labor Cherie Berry will visit Pactiv Corp., formerly Prairie Packaging, in Huntersville Wednesday, Nov. 10, to present the NC STAR award from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

The state and federal program presents the STAR award to operations that achieve exceptional safety performance, and a small percentage of operations statewide meet the standards. Berry will meet with the Pactiv management team and present the company with a STAR flag to fly at the plant at 14201 Mecham Farm Drive in Commerce Park, formerly the North Mecklenburg Industrial Park.
