DAVIDSON – Commissioner Margo Williams participated in the National Inclusionary Housing Conference in Washington D.C., on Nov. 5.

Williams – who has served on the board since 1995 and is the longest-serving woman commissioner in the town’s history – spoke alongside commissioners from Fairfax County, Va., and New York City about what Davidson is doing to promote inclusionary housing.

“Apparently, we have a growing national reputation for our Fair Share Housing Ordinance,” Williams said in a news release.

Williams is the founding president of the Davidson Housing Coalition and was instrumental in starting the affordable housing movement in Davidson.
