DAVIDSON – Candidates for Mecklenburg County commission at large, state senate and county sheriff will participate in a candidate forum Oct. 14 at 7 p.m. at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, 301 Caldwell Lane.
The St. Alban’s neighborhood association, the Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce and DavidsonNews.net are hosting the event, which is open to the public.

The forum will include all the candidates except Roberts, who has another commitment.
Also on the program are District 40 N.C. Sen. incumbent Malcolm Graham, D-Charlotte, and Republican challenger John Aneralla of Huntersville, and incumbent Sheriff Chipp Bailey, a Democrat, and his Republican challenger Christopher R. Hailey.
Other candidates running unopposed have been invited to make remarks, including 98th District N.C. Rep. Thom Tillis and District 1 County Commissioner Karen Bentley.
