DAVIDSON – The youth of Davidson United Methodist Church are operating their eighth annual Pumpkin Patch for Missions daily through Oct. 31 at the church’s Molly McKay Youth House, 260 S. Main St.
Proceeds support mission trips, youth and choir retreats and local service outreach.
The patch is open weekdays from noon to 8 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., offering a variety of pumpkins and sizes, as well as decorative gourds, Indian corn, dried cornstalks and a produce stand with seasonal fruits and vegetables. Most of the pumpkins are grown in North Carolina. Anyone interested in bringing a group for story time should call Kristen Twitchell at 704-987-9949.
