CORNELIUS – CommunityOne Bank in Cornelius made a donation to the Cornelius Veterans Monument Oct. 15, during a reception to celebrate the bank’s third anniversary.

Woody Washam, a business banking manager for CommunityOne, presented a $200 check to former Mayor Harold Little at the office on West Catawba Avenue.  Little, who served as mayor from 1985 to 1993, is Cornelius native and a World War II veteran.

The bank’s donation, along with a personal donation from Washam, brings the total raised for the memorial to more than $80,000.
