Apricot Lane in Birkdale Village held a Pre-Pink Party on Tuesday, Oct. 12, with guests Congresswoman Sue Myrick, a breast cancer survivor, and other survivors from Carolina Breast Friends.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and Apricot Lane hosted the cancer survivors from 3:30 to 4:15 p.m. Tuesday. The store will hold a follow-up Pink Party Oct. 23 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. and donate a portion of its proceeds to Carolina Breast Friends. Apricot Lane will offer a 10 percent off all purchases along with goodie bags, door prizes, Pink Treats and wine.
