HUNTERSVILLE – Marcela and Jaime Preciado have opened Ice by Premo in Huntersville, which the couple believes is the only ice-sculpting business based in the Lake Norman area.

Their daughter, Ana Moran, and her husband, Nathan, run the business with them. The couple moved to Huntersville in 2006.

Nathan Moran is an award-winning ice sculptor with more than seven years experience and more than 1,500 sculptures.

He is a member of the National Ice Carving Association and the American Culinary Federation. Ice by Premo is a member of the Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce.

“Our blocks are made in state-of-the-art Clinebell machines, which provide the most crystal clear ice sculptures in the business,” Jamie Preciado said in a news release. “We can sell ice blocks as well.”
