CORNELIUS – Operation Boot Camp of Greater Charlotte is offering several fundraising Beat Breast Cancer Boot Camp workouts in October, including two in Cornelius, to support the Charlotte Avon Walk for Breast Cancer.
Operation Boot Camp, a partner with Mecklenburg County Parks and Recreation, teaches fitness, builds confidence and fosters healthful eating habits in four-week sessions.
The boot camps in Cornelius take place at Bailey Road Park, 11536 Bailey Road, on Thursday, Oct. 14, at 5:45 a.m. and Saturday, Oct. 16, at 9 a.m. Another workout takes place Oct. 22 at Latta Park, 601 E. Park Ave. Charlotte, at 5:45 a.m.
Workouts will last 45 to 50 minutes. The camps are open to men and women of all fitness levels 18 and older or 16-year-olds with a parent or guardian present.
The camps are free to anyone who wishes to attend, but Operation Boot Camp asks a minimum $10 donation by cash or check to the Charlotte Avon Walk for Breast Cancer.
