Man exposes himself to woman at Business Park


HUNTERSVILLE – A man exposed himself on Oct. 8 to a 21-year-old woman in the business park before driving away.



The woman told police she was walking into work when a man whistled at her and exposed himself. He then sped away in a white Mitsubishi Montero.



The man was described as having long shaggy dark hair with a long beard. Anyone with information should contact the Huntersville Police Department at 704-875-6542.



Accused Huntersville bank robbers sentenced


HUNTERSVILLE – Kelvin Gerard Moss and Shonn Raphelle McCain, who were accused of robbing the Mooresville Savings Bank, 401 Gilead Road, after escaping from a halfway house, were sentenced last week in federal court.



Moss received two consecutive life sentences and McCain was given 15 years in federal jail, a news release said.



The two were accused of robbing the bank in 2008 after getting a pass to leave the facility to search for jobs.  The men led police in a high-speed chase following the robbery, ending in a car wreck, the release said.
