Justice Initiatives Inc. will sponsor a judicial candidates’ forum Oct. 21 for 12 people seeking seats on the District and Superior court benches in Mecklenburg County.  The forum is open to the community and will last from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Charlotte School of Law.

Taylor Batten, editorial page editor of the Charlotte Observer, will serve as moderator and questioner, and audience members also will get the opportunity to ask questions of the candidates. Candidates will not respond to any questions regarding how they might rule in pending or future cases. Cameras and recording devices also are prohibited during the forum.

Seating is limited, so register online at www.justiceinitiatives.org/regsys/index.php.
