Sunday event helps McDonald House

CHARLOTTE – Charlotte’s Painting with a Twist will help the Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte this weekend with a special event.
People can try their hand at painting their version of Vincent Van Gogh’s famous work, “Starry Night,” with 50 percent of proceeds from the night going to the house, which serves families of children being treated at hospitals in Charlotte.
Tickets are $45 per painter for the Sunday, Sept. 25, event. It runs from 3 to 6 p.m. People must register at the studio’s website, www.paintingwithatwist.com/charlotte, or by calling 980-224-7760.
